Harrowdene Road is a mixed tenure housing development of 33 flats and houses in a sub-urban street in North London close to the major regeneration area of central Wembley. The existing street context is characterised by pairs of inter-war year, semi-detached houses with more recent, larger plot size, flatted infill developments. This project continues this more modern form of development with a pair of three storey villas on the street frontage, containing shared ownership and sale flats, flanking a central access road. To the rear of the site is a continuous three storey block of affordable units fronting onto a parking court and area of communal amenity space including a children’s play area. The blocks are united in terms of form and materials with panels of brick contrasting with areas of render and timber boarding and glass balcony fronts.
